Alumni Spotlight Lauren Gros

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour Alumni Spotlight features Georgetown University's Women’s Golf Athlete

Lauren Gros.

During her high school career, Lauren participated in a great number of HJGT Tournaments, and consistently finished with great results. In 2013, she claimed the title for the prestigious 54 Hole Challenge at Falcon's Fire, where she shot an impressive three day total of 202 (-14) to win the tournament by 18 strokes. Lauren led the field in nearly every statistical category including most birdies with 16, par three performance with 2.92, and par five performance with a 4.17 average.

In 2013, Lauren also claimed the title for the Orange Lake Jr. Open, where she won the event shooting scores of 69-74 finishing at just one over. Lauren totaled 8 birdies, and shot par or better on 75% of all holes through the 36-hole event.

In our 2012 Tour Championship , Lauren was a notable competitor in the Girls 15-18 Division, where she fired an impressive eagle on the third hole of the National Course, and narrowly missed finishing in the top three by only one stroke.

Lauren has been an outstanding player not only on the HJGT tour, but at the Georgetown University as well.

In the 2014-2015 season Lauren appeared in all 10 tournaments, and tied for first on the team with 28 rounds played and finished third on the team with a 78.11 stroke average. She had seven top-30 finishes during the year.  Her best finish was tied for seventh place at the UD Lady Blue Hen Invitational, carding a 16-over par 230, while she also tied for eighth place at the Lady Thunderbird Invitational (7-over par 151).

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour wishes Lauren the best of luck in the rest of her golfing career!
