The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour Alumni Spotlight features Stetson Universities Golf Athlete
Jake has been an outstanding player not only on the HJGT tour, but at Stetson University as well.
Prior playing at Stetson University, Jake had some impressive results during his high school career. Jake was a three time All County and a two time all conference for Coach Bryan Walter. Jake carried a 37.9 stroke average in Prep Play. Jake did all of this while maintaining a very impressive 3.7 GPA.
During his high school career, Jake participated in a great number of HJGT Tournaments, and consistently finished with great results. Jake played in 53 tournaments with the HJGT from the years of 2009-2015 posting impressive results in several of them. In those tournaments Jake finished with 39 top ten finishes with eleven 3rd place finishes, four 2nd place finishes, and seven 1st place finishes. Jake finished his career with the HJGT in 2015 with a 6th place finish at the Tampa Bay Junior Open.
In his Freshman year at Stetson University, Jake played in three tournaments with a 75.0 scoring average for the year. He shot his best round with a two under par (70) at the Golf Week Program Challenge. In his sophomore year, he played in 5 events posting a scoring average of 77.33. He had his best finish of the season at the SSU Tiger Fall Invitational with an 18th place finish.
