In this week's Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) Alumni Spotlight, we are featuring Louisville freshman golfer Ellen Kehoe! Midway through her first season as a Cardinal, the Campbellsville, Ky., native is already making an impact. In just her second collegiate event at the Bearcats Fall Classic on October 6, Kehoe tied for medalist honors out of 50 golfers in the field. Kehoe recorded a pair of 71s in this event, which tied for the third-lowest round on her team so far this season. Kehoe has scored in the 70s in seven of eight rounds this season and also owns a tied-for-15th finish in her collegiate debut at the Fall Kickoff on Sept. 8. Before Kehoe made it to the Atlantic Coast Conference, she found plenty of success on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. In 2015, Kehoe took first place in all four events she competed in, including a co-victory in her home state at the College Prep Series at UK. Ellen is not the only Kehoe to make waves on the HJGT. Her younger brother, Jake, recorded two top-10 finishes in the Boys 13-14 division in 2015. The youngest of the Kehoe trio, Taylor, notched two first-place finishes in 2015 in the Girls 11-14 division as an 11-year old. The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour wishes Ellen, as well as Jake and Taylor, the best of luck in the rest of their golfing careers!
