HJGT headed to Falcon’s Fire Golf Club for 54 Hole Mid Season Championship
icane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) will host the 54 Hole Mid Season Championship in Kissimmee, FL on June 9th-11th. Falcon’s Fire Golf Club will be home to this year’s tournament. The tournament will be ranked by the American Junior Golf Association. Four performance stars will be granted to the winner in the Boys and Girls 15-18 age divisions. The tournament will also be ranked by Golfweek and the Junior Golf Scoreboard. Along with the 4 performance stars and the other rankings and exemptions, this tournament will also be host to the Big I qualifier for the state of Florida (must pay a $35 qualifying fee to be eligible). One exemption will be granted for the Boys 15-18 age division as well as the Girls 15-18 age division. On top of all that winners in each age division will earn automatic bids into the 2012 Tour Championship. A special appearance will be made by Dr. Bob Winters. Winters is a world famous sports psychologist and will be speaking on the topic of getting through the Doubt and Creating Confidence! Dr. Bob Winters will be speaking on Friday June 8th from 5:30 to 6:30 at Falcons Fire Golf Club. Don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity!
The 54 Hole Mid Season Championship will feature 54-holes of stroke play on the club’s scenic 18 hole course across four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 15-18 and Girls 11-14. Top ten winners will earn points towards year end honors. Keep in mind that with this tournament being a major championship points are 1.5 times the normal structure! HJGT Premium members will be able to compete in the Bridgestone Challenge. Winners of the Bridgestone Challenge in each division will receive a dozen B330 Golf Balls and a Bridgestone Hat. The HJGT would also like to extend a special promotion to all players new to the tour, any player who has not played in a HJGT tournament before can register for their first tournament for only $135 (higher than normal $99 because of the 54 hole format), call the HJGT headquarters for more information!
The Falcon’s Fire Golf Club is known both regionally and nationally as one of, if not the best public course in Orlando, FL. The Rees Jones designed course provides exquisite architecture and design. The 18 hole course stretches just over 7,000 yards from the back tees but can play from a variety of lengths to accommodate differing age divisions.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 10-19 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on tour will compete in one of five age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the southeast, with stops in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.
