54 hole Challenge at Greystone
Greystone Golf Club - Dickson, TN
On May 28th through 30th 2016, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour traveled to beautiful Dickson, Tennessee to host the 54 hole Challenge at Greystone Golf Club. The playing conditions were great, while a great challenge for the long weekend of golf. The weather did not disappoint as the weather was beautiful even though rain was predicted. The winners in each age division will receive a bid to the National Championship on December 3rd and 4th, 2016. Winners in all three-age divisions were awarded an automatic bid to the National Championship on December 3rd and 4th, 2016. The top ten finishers also received points towards year-end honors, which include state teams, all HJGT teams, and the Hurricane Cup.
Boys 16-18 Division

In the boys 16-18 division, the winner was Jack Uselton from Tullahoma, Tennessee. He shot a total score of 214 through 54 holes. On Saturday, Uselton finished round one with a score of 73 and added 2 birdies. Uselton held his lead by scoring a 70 and a 71 for the next two days to capture a first place victory. Connor Conkel from Buford, Georgia received the second place title, by scoring a 74, 72, and 72 to hold off any chances of third place catching up. Our third place finisher this weekend was Matthew Dearborn from Springhill, Tennessee. Dearborn finished the weekend strong posting a three-day total of 222. Overall the boys 16-18 age division was very competitive this weekend, and all of our top finishers played impressive golf.
Boys 14-15 Division

the boys 14-15 division, round one started out as a close race between Luke Smith, of Convington, Tennesse and A. Jacks Green, of Franklin, Tennessee with Luke leading. Luke finished his rounds with a total score of 226, which put him two strokes in front of Green. Green fought hard to keep Luke on his toes with socring birdies left and right for a total score of 228. Joshua Holtschlag from Brentweek, Tennessee came in third with a total score of 233. He was able to secure his spot by scoring a total of 5 birdies on day two and three.
Boys 11-13 Division

In the boys 11-13, division Evan Reed, of Shelbyville, Tennessee and Jackson Hill, of Madisonville, Kentucky both finihed off a great round 1. Reed shot a stunning 73, while Hill shot a 85. Both would not give an inch to each other, but it was Reed that took home first place with a total score of 224 and Hill took home second place with a total score of 240. Third place went to Sam Banks, of Nashville, Tenessee. Banks started round one by shooting a 86, improving greatly on round two when he shot a 76 with three birdies. He caped off his tournament with a score of 87 in round 3. All the boys played very well and we look forward to continually having them on our tour.
Girls 14-18 Division

the girls 14-18 age division, Jessie Eaton of Murfreesboro, Tennessee took home the first place trophy leading the pack the whole way. Saturday, Eaton had a good round by shooting a 80 on Saturday with one birdie and seven bogeys. For round two, she shot a 85 and finished her last round with an 82. Eaton finished the tournament with a three- day total of 247 and 21 strokes ahead of second place. Finishing in second was Emma Caroline Philips from Brentwood, Tennssee and Philips scored 90 for day one. She then scored 85 on round two and a 93 on round three. Finishing in third place was Aubrey Guyton from Cordova, Tennessee with a three-day total of 270. Guyton scored a 89 on round one with one birdie and seven bogeys, and finished round three with an 87. Each of our top finishers played some extraordinary golf this weekend and had a blast playing.

About The Hurricane Junior Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of five age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Girls 14-18, and Girls 11-13.
