The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) is excited to invite you to our final event in Alabama for 2014! It has been an exciting 2014 season, thanks to our Alabama patrons, and we are rewarding them another top event in November! The Huntsville Junior Shootout will be held at Hampton Cove- Highlands Course on Saturday November 15th- through Sunday November 16th. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to compete with some of the best players the state of Alabama has to offer at an incredible venue! The Huntsville Jr. Shootout is open to all golfers between the ages of 11-18. At stake in this event are opportunities to earn Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings (JGS), and AJGA Performance Stars if the respective field sizes are met within each age division. First place finishers in each division receive an automatic bid to the 2014 Tour Championship, held on December 6th-7th. This event is a two-day, 36 hole event. The first round will kick off Saturday, November 15th with a single tee start running from 9:30AM to 1:30PM. The second round will begin Sunday, November 16th with a single tee start running from 9:30AM to 1:30PM. Registration fees for HJGT members are $185 and $215 for non-members. The northern gateway to the Trail is Hampton Cove in Huntsville, a 54-hole facility with terrain that drastically changes from one side of the property to the other. Renovated in 2008, The Highlands course has been restored to its original Scottish Links design. Completely opposite in design is the River course, the only Robert Trent Jones layout without a single bunker. The River Course is a throwback to the way courses were built long ago. The dirt was merely pushed up to create the greens and tees, leaving all else, including massive oak trees, undisturbed.

About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, New Jersey, Maryland, Mississippi, New York, and Pennsylvania.
