In his next three events, The Central Alabama Junior Open, The Canongate Series #2, and Canongate Series #5, he caught fire and took home 1st place in each event. Logan’s finished off the year with 4 first-place finishes (Central Alabama Junior Open, Canongate #2, Canongate #5, and Bears Best Junior Shootout). His last tournament of the season was the Tournament of Champions, where he finished tied for 11th place.

One of our very own Hurricane Junior Golfer’s, Lisa Marie Rudometkin, has recently committed to University of San Francisco to continue her golf career. Lisa started playing golf when she was just four years old. She played a lot of other sports, but it wasn’t until her dad’s friend suggested she try golf that she truly found her love for the sport. After hitting her first ball, she knew she had to follow her heart. Lisa started playing with HJGT in 2016 when the tour moved out to California. And was quickly crowned the girls 14-18 Justin Timberlake Division winner. Thanks to the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, she moved to Florida to play for Saddlebrook Prep. She enjoyed playing with HJGT because she thought the staff was super friendly and the environment was always great. This season, Lisa has a scoring average of 74 in HJGT events.

In her next three events, The Major Championship at Birdsfoot, The Columbus Junior Open, and the Midwest Regional Invitational, Makenna finished in 10th, T-6th, and 7th place. Her last tournament of the season was the College Prep Series at Kent State that ended with a 5th place finish.

His first tournament was the College Prep Series at USF, and since then he also played in Clemson, Minneapolis, Chicago, and Phoenix where he shot a two-day total of 148, landing him on the podium. At the Minneapolis Junior Shootout, he also shot an impressive 148 (74 & 74) to take 1st place in the Tiger Woods Division.

Ivy started her dominant performances with the HJGT with a victory as a 13-year-old while playing in the Girls 15-18 division. Ivy also turned in an incredible performance at the Cannongate Series #1 on Feb 25-26 with a two-day total of 145 (70-75). Ivy’s play at Cannongate earned her an 8-stroke victory over the weekend.

Austin’s first event on tour was in 2012 at the Orlando Junior Challenge, followed by the Palm Beach Jr. Challenge, just a few weeks after, placing 8th in both. In April, he played in back-to-back tournaments, the Orange Lake Junior Open and the IMG CC Junior Classic, where he finished 11th and tied for 11th, respectively. Austin’s best result finish of the year came at the 54 Hole Mid-Season Championship in June where he placed 4th. His last tournament of the season was the Central Florida Junior Classic that resulted in a T31 finish.

Reece Massei was raised in a golf family and found his love for golf at a young age. Massei started playing in HJGT tournaments when he was just a freshman in high school. Since playing in the HJGT golf tournaments, he has had the opportunity to play in the National Championship Weekend twice! Playing on the tour for a couple years Massei continued to play because he loved the management and layout of the HJGT tournaments. During Massei’s time with the HJGT he was able to meet new friends from around the country and keeping in touch with them in various tournaments. Not only did the HJGT expose him to a variety of college coaches, Massei mentions that the tournaments prepared him for college because they were a competitive style of play and larger fields. With hard work, dedication, and the preparation by the HJGT, Massei committed to the United States Naval Academy (USNA).

August 1, 2018 – ORLANDO, Florida – The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) is excited to announce the launch of the newly formed Elite Series coming in October of 2018 with the support of the International Junior Golf Tour, Bishops Gate Golf Academy, and International Junior Golf Academy. The first event will be held October 13-14, 2018 in Orlando and another in November in Hilton Head Island November 17-18. In 2019, there will be 4 events in the spring and 4 in the fall. In its first full season, the series will be concentrated in Orlando, Florida and Hilton Head, South Carolina with one open Boys division and one open Girls division.

One of our very own Hurricane Junior Golfer’s, Lisa Marie Rudometkin, has recently committed to University of San Francisco to continue her golf career. Lisa started playing golf when she was just four years old. She played a lot of other sports, but it wasn’t until her dad’s friend suggested she try golf that she truly found her love for the sport. After hitting her first ball, she knew she had to follow her heart. Lisa started playing with HJGT in 2016 when the tour moved out to California. And was quickly crowned the girls 14-18 Justin Timberlake Division winner. Thanks to the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, she moved to Florida to play for Saddlebrook Prep. She enjoyed playing with HJGT because she thought the staff was super friendly and the environment was always great. This season, Lisa has a scoring average of 74 in HJGT events.

The year was a monumental year for the HJGT. In 2018, we held over 250+ events in 20+ states across the country. We have revolutionized our tour with new partnerships with the Junior Golf Hub and ShotStat. To close out the 2018, season, we held our National Championships in Orlando, FL. Our National Championship events were a huge success with over 700+ players from over 30 different countries coming to compete at our 8 different events over the weekend.

Growing up in India, it was difficult to participate in golf tournaments that would allow her to showcase her abilities to colleges in the United States. In 2018, she moved to the US and joined the International Junior Golf Academy (IJGA). After joining IJGA, she started playing HJGT events.

Reece Massei was raised in a golf family and found his love for golf at a young age. Massei started playing in HJGT tournaments when he was just a freshman in high school. Since playing in the HJGT golf tournaments, he has had the opportunity to play in the National Championship Weekend twice! Playing on the tour for a couple years Massei continued to play because he loved the management and layout of the HJGT tournaments. During Massei’s time with the HJGT he was able to meet new friends from around the country and keeping in touch with them in various tournaments. Not only did the HJGT expose him to a variety of college coaches, Massei mentions that the tournaments prepared him for college because they were a competitive style of play and larger fields. With hard work, dedication, and the preparation by the HJGT, Massei committed to the United States Naval Academy (USNA).

August 1, 2018 – ORLANDO, Florida – The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) is excited to announce the launch of the newly formed Elite Series coming in October of 2018 with the support of the International Junior Golf Tour, Bishops Gate Golf Academy, and International Junior Golf Academy. The first event will be held October 13-14, 2018 in Orlando and another in November in Hilton Head Island November 17-18. In 2019, there will be 4 events in the spring and 4 in the fall. In its first full season, the series will be concentrated in Orlando, Florida and Hilton Head, South Carolina with one open Boys division and one open Girls division.

Logan’s first event on tour was in 2015 at the Valdosta Junior Open, followed by the Canongate Series #1 just a week later, placing 2nd and 9th, respectively. In his next three events, The Central Alabama Junior Open, The Canongate Series #2, and Canongate Series #5, he caught fire and took home 1st place in each event. Logan’s finished off the year with 4 first-place finishes (Central Alabama Junior Open, Canongate #2, Canongate #5, and Bears Best Junior Shootout). His last tournament of the season was the Tournament of Champions, where he finished tied for 11th place.

In her next three events, The Major Championship at Birdsfoot, The Columbus Junior Open, and the Midwest Regional Invitational, Makenna finished in 10th, T-6th, and 7th place. Her last tournament of the season was the College Prep Series at Kent State that ended with a 5th place finish.

Throughout his time with the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, he played in tournaments across the nation. His first tournament was the College Prep Series at USF, and since then he also played in Clemson, Minneapolis, Chicago, and Phoenix where he shot a two-day total of 148, landing him on the podium. At the Minneapolis Junior Shootout, he also shot an impressive 148 (74 & 74) to take 1st place in the Tiger Woods Division.

Ivy was a very accomplished junior golfer with the HJGT from the moment she started playing on the tour. Ivy was able to leave her mark on the HJGT in a few events during her time with the tour. Ivy started her dominant performances with the HJGT with a victory as a 13-year-old while playing in the Girls 15-18 division. Ivy also turned in an incredible performance at the Cannongate Series #1 on Feb 25-26 with a two-day total of 145 (70-75). Ivy’s play at Cannongate earned her an 8-stroke victory over the weekend.

Austin’s first event on tour was in 2012 at the Orlando Junior Challenge, followed by the Palm Beach Jr. Challenge, just a few weeks after, placing 8th in both. In April, he played in back-to-back tournaments, the Orange Lake Junior Open and the IMG CC Junior Classic, where he finished 11th and tied for 11th, respectively. Austin’s best result finish of the year came at the 54 Hole Mid-Season Championship in June where he placed 4th. His last tournament of the season was the Central Florida Junior Classic that resulted in a T31 finish.
