Carlos Diaz joined the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour in December of 2022. Carlos is an Emmy Award-winning National media specialist who has spent more than 30 years in news, sports and entertainment. Carlos got his start on National TV as a reporter for ESPN’s “SportsCenter” in 1997, interviewing the sports elite. He then moved to New York to become part of the inaugural anchor team for the National Basketball Association’s brand new television network, NBA TV. In addition, Carlos was also a feature writer for NBA.com. While covering the NBA, Carlos branched out to provided entertainment updates for E! Entertainment, as well as Fox News, TBS and MSNBC. He eventually moved from the Big Apple to Hollywood to serve as a correspondent for the entertainment news magazine “Extra,” a position he held for eight years.

While in L.A., Carlos also hosted the syndicated show “Celebrity Justice.” Utilizing his Hollywood connections, Carlos founded, produced and hosted “The Daily Diaz,” a nationally syndicated radio report featuring the latest updates on entertainment, news and sports.

In 2010, Carlos was recruited by CNN in Atlanta to serve as sports anchor on HLN’s “Morning Express with Robin Meade.” While in Atlanta, Carlos also served as guest news anchor on multiple shows across HLN and CNN. When Carlos and his wife Olga started their family in 2016, they moved back to Carlos’ hometown of Indianapolis, where Carlos eventually became the anchor of “Sunrise,” the #1 rated TV morning show on the NBC affiliate (WTHR). He thoroughly enjoyed his time on “Sunrise” over the span of 7 years. Carlos is a graduate of Indiana University with a degree in Telecommunications.
