Points will be awarded at every stroke play event the HJGT conducts. The top ten finishers in each age division will accumulate points. The point’s race will begin in January at the JWU Series and will end at the last event in November. For each of the three major championships in 2009, 1.5 times the point structure will be awarded for the top ten finishers. Here is how the point’s structure will work:
1st Place- 1000 points 6th Place- 300 Points
2nd Place- 700 points 7th Place- 250 Points
3rd Place- 550 points 8th Place- 200 Points
4th Place- 400 points 9th Place- 150 Points
5th Place- 350 points 10th Place- 100 Points
*Revised December 1, 2008
Ties
If there are ties for a specific place, the Points will be split evenly. For example, a three player tie for 3rd Place would result in each player receiving 433 Points (1300 total points for 3rd,4th,and 5th divided evenly among three players).
Age Divisions
Points may only be earned in your age division. Points do not carry over to the older age division if you change divisions during a season. Players who change divisions during a season due to a birthday or players allowed to play up, could potentially have points listed under both age divisions.
