Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

HJGT – Who We Are:

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 10-19 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour.

Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the southeast, with stops in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.  Golfers who participate on tour will compete in one of five age divisions: Boys 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, and Girls 10-14 and 16-19.

Each Hurricane Junior Golf Tour event is ranked by the National Junior Golf Scoreboard.  The events in North Carolina count toward the Tarheel Youth Golf Association rankings and South Carolina events will count towards South Carolina Junior Golf Association rankings.  The top-ten finishers in each event will receive points towards the HJGT’s Player of the Year rankings.

In addition to state rankings and Player of the Year points, several events feature AJGA performance based exemptions. For 2010, these tournaments are the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour Majors: the HJGT Winter Championship, the HJGT Spring Championship, the Mid-Season Championship, the HJGT Fall Championship, and the HJGT Tour Championship.  For more information, please go to our ‘Rankings’ page.
